Mothers Day 2013 Brings Pink Baseballs to the MLB!

Well the baseballs aren't completely pink, boy that would be something if they were. But heck we all know and love the bright white baseballs with the red stitching which any baseball player will tell you allows them to pick up the spin. But for the week following Mother's day the stitching and lettering on all Major League baseballs will be pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

Since 2006 Major League Baseball has teamed up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to bring much needed awareness to the cause and raise money. They started out by providing the players with pink bats and holding charity auctions. Since then much more than the bats have been turned pink, in fact everything from wristbands, necklaces and even players shoes have turned pink in support of the cause. Well for 2013 the baseballs will be the latest to change.  To view these new baseballs and learn more click here.
